The Manual Handling Online course provides an online option when testing the participants knowledge around the theory section of the manual handling refresher course. The material was created as part of NFSVP.
The course introduces the learner to the reasons we need to ensure our backs are cared for, the legislation underpinning manual handling and the principles underpinning good back care practice.
Ideally the online theory course is seen as part of the overall programme with the learner engaging in the practical element with an instructor in the context in which they will be using the skills.
Who is this course for?
The course is aimed at staff in intellectual disability services and redeployed staff.

How to Apply
Individuals wishing to receive a certificate will need to contact llittlefield@opentrainingcollege.com to pay the €20 fee and be enrolled.
Managers wishing to enrol a group of individuals will forward the first names, last names and email addresses within 3 columns in an excel spreadsheet to llittlefield@opentrainingcollege.com. Louise will respond to each individual with login information and a "How To" ebooklet.
