The MA in Community and Youth Work is an integrated programme of professional education and training in both community work and youth work. The programme is underpinned by a human rights/social justice perspective and places equal emphasis on the development of professional skills and ability and on academic excellence in the social sciences. It prepares students for roles in community development and youth work settings and also for associated roles in equality and human rights work, in development work at all levels from local to international, and in both civil society (voluntary/NGO) and statutory organisations. The programme is professionally endorsed by both the North South Education and Training Standards Committee for Youth Work (NSETS) and the All- Ireland Endorsement Body for Community Work (AIEB).
