Portmarnock Community School Adult Education Programme:
Explore the art of hand building pottery in this creative beginner friendly class. Learn the basics of working with clay and the ceramic process, from raw clay, firing, decoration and glazing . By the end of these classes you will have created a series of functional and decorative objects and sculptures as well as learning a new skill. Experimenting with clay in a creative and relaxed environment. All equipment and supplies provided and included in course fee.
Beginners and experienced students all welcome.

About the tutor: Abbie O’Boyle
Abbie has worked closely with our pottery teacher as an assistant initially for one year and then as the main teacher. She has a distinction in ceramics and has taken part in producing work for a local craft fairs, as well as working on independent sculpting work for four years.
