This course offers students the opportunity to develop knowledge and essential skills in the various fields of Media
Production. The Media and Film Production course is designed to prepare students for further study or a career in the Media Industry.
It provides an introduction to skills required in Journalism, Film Making, Radio Production, Design, etc. where students will utilize professional equipment and software. It will also provide valuable foundation skills for further study in areas like communications, journalism, and audio-visual studies.

Career PathGraduates from this programme can apply to progress to the Higher National Diploma in Film Production at Dunboyne College. There are now many places in computer courses in universities and in many technological universities for graduates who hold a QQI qualifi cation in Media Production. Graduates can also progress to Media Studies in Maynooth University or First Arts, where there are over 175 places available.
