Course Description:
Sound for Relaxation: An 8-Week Introduction
Sound therapy is increasingly recognized in wellness and healthcare settings for its calming effects on the nervous system. This class offers a gentle, hands-on way to explore how sound can support rest and bring more ease into your daily life. It is created for people with no musical background at all, so you can arrive as a complete beginner.
Over eight weeks, you will explore a range of instruments: chimes, crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, a gong, shamanic drum, tuning forks, and other simple tools. You do not need any experience to use them. You'll discover which ones resonate most with you. Everyone responds differently to sound, so this is a space to find what feels right for you personally.
Practical Skills for Home Use: This is not a practitioner-training course. It offers straightforward ways to use sound at home for yourself, your family, children who may need soothing, or older relatives who respond well to gentle vibrations.
The Course Includes:
No Equipment Needed: All instruments are provided during class. No musical training or rhythm skills are required. There's no requirement to purchase instruments afterward, though you will have clear guidance on what to look for if you choose to.
Why Sound: Sound vibrations have been shown to reduce stress, support brain health, and help the nervous system shift into a calmer state. This class explores these benefits in a practical, accessible way.
What You Will Gain: You will discover which instruments resonate most with you and learn simple, effective ways to use them at home, whether for your own relaxation, calming an anxious mind, easing physical tension, or comforting children or elderly relatives.
Who This Is For: This course is designed for complete beginners. No musical training, rhythm skills, or prior experience with any instruments is required. If you're curious about sound and want practical tools for relaxation, this class is for you.
