Unconscious Bias Awareness

This three hour Unconscious Bias Awareness workshop will introduce attendees to the concept of Unconscious Bias with a focus on the workplace.

This general awareness session will introduce / build on attendees understanding of Unconscious Bias and enable them to:

1. Understand
   What is unconscious bias and what are possible triggers? We will consider the impact of unconscious bias both with colleagues and clients and consider how it plays out in the workplace.
2. Review Examples and Research
   Several examples and a review of research into the subject will be used to raise awareness of how unconscious bias can impact our decision-making process.
3. Recognise
   Several common categories of unconscious bias will be introduced to aid our understanding and recognition of bias.
4. Discuss 
   Strategies for overcoming unconscious bias in the workplace and limiting its impact on important decisions / interactions.

The delivery style of the workshop will be interactive and input from the attendees will be encouraged where possible. Practical examples will be provided in addition to thought provoking video clips.
