Web design is the production of websites through different skills and disciplines including graphic design, standardised coding and software. It is the display of imagery and text on a website that is placed and written a certain way in order to be pleasing on the eye to site visitors.
Web design encompasses the process of creating and designing the visual elements and user interface of a website. It involves a combination of creative skills and technical expertise to produce an aesthetically pleasing and functional online presence. Web designers focus on aspects such as layout, color schemes, typography, and imagery to create a visually appealing and user-friendly website. They also consider user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles to ensure an intuitive and efficient navigation experience. Responsive design, which ensures websites function well across various devices and screen sizes, is a critical aspect of modern web design. Additionally, web designers often collaborate with web developers to bring their designs to life, incorporating coding languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Effective web design is essential for creating a positive first impression, enhancing user engagement, and achieving the goals of the website, whether it's information dissemination, e-commerce, or interactive experiences.
