Entry requirements

CPD Courses are great for students who may already be working in the SNA, Early Years & Primary School areas to refresh and enhance your current skills.

No prior skills, knowledge or competence in the award subject matter will be required of the learner for successful entry to the programme; but learners will be expected to have a minimum of Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate standard of education or equivalent and/or experience.

Proficiency in English language is required, together with a strong interest in (subject). Learners whose first language is not English will be required to provide proof of proficiency in the English language through satisfactory performance on an internationally recognised test (e.g. IELTS 5.5) or other similar English Language qualifications.

City College Dublin are committed to providing equal access to education and equal opportunities for mature students (23 years +). Mature applicants do not need to match school-leavers in terms of academic achievement, provided there is evidence of the ability to pursue and benefit from the course, but candidates must be 23 years of age or over on the 1st January of the year of entry to their programme of study. Mature students must also have proficiency in the English language.
