This course is designed for individuals who have a desire to study all aspects of event management, including event creation, debriefing and future development. Students will acquire both theoretical and practical skills over the duration of the course.
Programme Description:
Event Management: Introduction to the key areas of event management, including event creation, planning, execution, debriefing and development, programming, staffing and health and safety Event Promotion: Introduction to local and national event promotion, including PR materials, media monitoring, buying and selling advertising, distribution and writing (interviewing, reviewing, press releasing etc.) Event Funding: Introduction to sponsorship and partnership approaches and execution, private funding, public funding, grant aid Venue Management: Introduction to venue management, including overall venue management and staging of events in various locations.
