General Education Studies - Diploma Training Course in Basic General Education Skills

This general Education Studies course will provide you with a sound basic knowledge in Mathematics, Written English and recent Irish History. You will learn to spell, to count and to speak and write basic English. A specialist, personal tutor will guide, motivate and assist you with your studies. Once you have enrolled as a student with Kilroy’s College you will be in a “class of one”, with your own, private tutor, a qualified and experienced specialist in general education studies, through distance learning.

Unit 1: English

Unit 2: Everyday Maths

Unit 3: Word Study

Unit 4: Irish History

This course will develop your basic English grammar and vocabulary for both speaking and writing. It will help you with practical mathematics covering decimals, fractions, profit and loss, metric, proportion, area and simple interest. The course also covers the last 100 years of Irish History and tells how the Republic of Ireland came into being.
