This programme is suitable for individuals wishing to develop conversational skills to speak German This is a classroom based course NOTE: This course MAY take place at the Further Education and Training Centre, Kilmallock Road Campus, Limerick City, V94 Y6H3. Learners will be notified by text/email.
Programme Description:
• Interpersonal Communication e.g. Greet/ take leave/ thank you etc. • Personal Information: first/family name; age/ nationality/ occupation etc. • Breakdown in Communication: ask “do you speak English?”; signal nonunderstanding; ask for repetition/speak more slowly etc. • Acquire rudimentary knowledge of grammar and be able to read some basic characters & words • Develop an understanding of contemporary German culture and be able to apply language skills aptly and appropriately.
