Entry requirements

This IT course is aimed at those considering a career in IT and computer-related fields. Consequently, there are no special prerequisites to start this course. We have made the assumption that you don’t know much about how computers or software work, or even how to use them. Some experience with using a keyboard and mouse will be helpful but is not essential.

*This book is available to buy on Amazon, please purchase this before the course commences.

Equipment
Laptop or PC with an operating system of Windows 8 or newer is fine for this IT course, but an iPad is not recommended.

Qualifications

On passing this IT course you will be awarded the City College Dublin Diploma in Cybersecurity – Fundamentals

On completion of this IT course you will be in a position to consider taking the CompTIA ITF+ certification exam. Students who wish to sit for the official certification exam should visit www.comptia.org for more information on the requirements and fees involved.
