Galway City, Dublin Rd Campus
Galway is a cosmopolitan city that is world-renowned for its friendliness and community vibrancy. It is enriched with energy, amazing nightlife, a booming music scene and a fantastic schedule of annual festivals.
The ATU Galway City, Dublin Road building is one of Galway City’s iconic landmarks, due to the three distinctive sail-shaped copper panels at the front of the main building. This unique design helps identify the university as an innovator in modern technology and serves the practical purpose of housing the Library and IT Centre.
This campus offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across business, science, computing, engineering, culinary arts, hospitality, tourism and heritage. Students have access to state-of-the-art lecture theatres, labs, machine halls, robotic labs, training kitchens, restaurants and bars, and modern sports facilities.
Galway City, Wellpark Road Campus
ATU Galway City, Wellpark Road campus is a hive of creative activity and is home to several creative enterprises. Programmes are offered in design, contemporary art, film and documentary, and teacher education in art, design and graphics.
Our Wellpark Road building has specialised creative spaces which include edit suites, virtual production studio, art & design studios, several Mac and PC computer labs, animation studios, XR studio, recording studio, film studio, sculpture & ceramic workshops, drawing studios, textile workshops, prototyping workshops and digital fab-labs. Our library provides quiet study spaces, free Wi-Fi, computing, and printing facilities.
ATU Galway City, Wellpark Road is also home to a new CREW Innovation Hub supporting new business start-ups.
Connemara Campus
The ATU Connemara campus is the National Centre for Excellence in Furniture Design and Technology. It is regarded both nationally and internationally as a leading provider of third-level programmes in furniture, wood products and teacher education (Design Graphics and Construction). It is located along a stunning coastline in Letterfrack, a little over an hour from Galway City. This campus is home to over 200 students, studying five different degree programmes. Students have access to state-of-the-art workshop facilities with the most advanced machinery and computer technology.
Mountbellew Campus
ATU Mountbellew is one of Ireland’s leading educational institutes offering undergraduate programmes in conjunction with ATU Galway City in agri-business, agri-engineering and agri-science.
With a total area of 120 hectares, students benefit from practical, hands-on experience gained on our working farm. Livestock and fully functioning farm facilities such as a milking parlour, grain store, sheep and cattle housing facilities, and handling facilities, mean students gain first-hand experience of the modern forms of equipment they can expect to encounter in their future careers.
